SEKPS runs math and STEAM enrichment through formal programs such as the Math Elite Program and STEAM Elite Program. The STEAM Education framework covers activities across P1–P6, encouraging cross-disciplinary inquiry and hands-on problem solving. Rotating groups include STEM Activities, Maths Activities, Coding for P.1-3, and other project-based experiences, with a parallel set of non-rotating options. The school also participates in external competitions, including the Pui Kiu Cup Rocket Sled Competition, the First Lego League CHALLENGE, The Underwater Robot Competition, and STEAM for Girls STEAM Challenge.
Arts and culture are embedded in Life-wide Learning, with offerings such as The School Drama Team, VA Elite (Visual Arts), The Percussion Band, Lion Dance Team, Sand-painting Team, Chinese Dance Team, and String Orchestra. Rotating groups include Pastel Nagomi Arts, Paper Making, Chinese Calligraphy, Paper Cutting, Chinese Painting, and other arts-based activities. Choir and other non-rotating groups also contribute to the school's performing arts presence, along with opportunities in media like Video Master & Photographer. Additional language-oriented offerings appear in non-rotating groups like Choir and VA Elite, and in Life-wide Learning sections such as The School Drama Team and Chinese Dance, which promote cultural awareness alongside language development. Social and hobby activities are conducted as part of Life-wide Learning and ECA, including sports, arts, and student-interest groups. Rotating groups feature Easy Sports, Origami, Maths Activities, STEM activities, Video Master & Photography, and a variety of language and arts clubs. Non-rotating groups include Choir, STEAM Elite, VA Elite, Lion Dance, Football, and Athletic, providing a mix of performing arts, cultural activities, and athletics. These activities run alongside regular school sport teams such as Basketball and Football, offering frequent opportunities for student engagement beyond class time.
The school provides service-learning opportunities through Scouts as part of its broader emphasis on social responsibility. Wellbeing and physical activity are supported through a strong sports and athletics program, including Basketball Team, Football Team, Rope-skipping Team, Long Jump Team, and Athletic Team. ECA lessons run on Wednesdays for 8th and 9th periods, with 7 non-rotating groups and 18 rotating groups, ensuring regular engagement in physical activity and well-being-focused clubs. The school was founded in 1891 by Ellis Kadoorie as the Ellis Kadoorie School for Indians. The Primary School has occupied the original premises since the secondary section moved to West Kowloon in 1999. The campus serves Primary 1–6 in a whole-day English-medium program.
