Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Tsung Tsin Christian Academy (TTCA) was established in 2004 by the Tsung Tsin Mission of Hong Kong – Sham Shui Po Church. The school was founded as a Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) secondary school to provide quality education grounded in Christian faith and service. Its founding principle, “to serve, not to be served,” reflects the school’s mission to nurture students academically, socially, and spiritually. Since its establishment, TTCA has developed a reputation for combining strong academics with Christian values and community service.

Community

The TTCA community is built around collaboration between students, teachers, and families. The school promotes participation in cultural, artistic, and service-based events through its Student Development Committees and co-curricular programmes. Initiatives such as the 12-Disciple Mentoring Scheme and student fellowship groups encourage teamwork, moral growth, and leadership development within a faith-based environment. The school also hosts performances and exhibitions that celebrate student achievements and foster a sense of unity and belonging.

Parent-Teacher Association

TTCA’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) serves as a bridge between families and the school. The PTA organises events such as the annual parent-child trip and the PTA Annual General Meeting, which includes elections for executive committee members. Through these activities, parents are actively involved in supporting school life and strengthening home-school communication. The PTA also hosts family gatherings and cultural outings to promote bonding and a shared understanding of the school’s values. Members collaborate closely with teachers and administrators to enhance the student experience and maintain an engaged, supportive community.
