United Christian College (Kowloon East) was established in 2003 with a land grant from the government to create a co‑educational Direct Subsidy Scheme Christian secondary school in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong. The school began operations with several classes in both S.1 and S.4 levels. Over time it has expanded its facilities, including a new building extension and, notably, a dormitory block to support boarding for a period.
UCCKE views the school as a community or “family,” emphasizing partnerships with parents and strong connections among students, teachers, and staff. The school organizes events in collaboration with parents via the PTA, Parent‑Teacher Happy Hour, Parent Night, and class‑level parent involvement. Parent volunteers have participated in events like “Fruit Day,” Christmas wreath workshops, and social service projects.
The school has a functioning Parent & Teacher Association (PTA). The PTA holds an Annual General Meeting, during which parent officer elections occur and parents engage with the school leadership. The PTA also organizes workshops, class‑level events, and collaborates on parent outreach (e.g. Parent Night, Parent Talk, etc.).
