Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
1. Online Application Submission
Applicants complete an online form via the YCIS admissions portal. They upload required documents (birth certificate or passport, school reports, parent IDs, photos) and pay the non‑refundable application fee.
2. Application Review & Eligibility Check
The admissions team reviews the submitted materials to ensure all information and documentation meet the requirements and conditions of admission.
3. Assessment and Interview
Depending on the student’s age or level, YCIS conducts placement tests, subject assessments, and/or interviews to evaluate academic ability, language proficiency, and social readiness.
4. Decision & Offer
After evaluation, families are notified of the admission decision. If accepted, they receive an offer of placement, and must follow instructions to confirm the offer (e.g. pay reservation or debenture fees).
5. Waiting Pool (If Year Level Full)
If the desired year level is already at capacity, accepted applicants may be placed in a waiting pool / waiting list until a spot becomes available.
YCIS operates a waitlist system if classes are at capacity. Applicants who meet the admissions criteria but cannot be offered immediate placement due to full classes are placed on a waitlist. Placement from the waitlist depends on space availability and other factors, such as priority considerations (e.g. siblings already enrolled at the school or debenture holding families).
