Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
YCIS Hong Kong was founded in 1932 by Madam Tsang Chor‑hang, beginning with early childhood and primary schooling. Over time, the school expanded its educational offering: the Primary section was formally established in 1987, and the Secondary section launched in 1993, thereby offering a continuous education pathway from early years through to Year 13. The school has been guided by a bilingual philosophy, merging Eastern and Western educational values since its early days.
The YCIS community actively involves families through workshops, forums, and parent education programmes. The school has a Secondary Home‑School Partnership comprised of parent representatives and school staff, which helps bridge communication and cooperation between families and teachers.
Families are also invited to participate in events like Open Days and parent forums, and there are programmes for grandparents and domestic helpers to engage in school life.
While YCIS does not have an official Parent‑Teacher Association, The Secondary Home‑School Partnership (for secondary levels) serves as a liaison group between parents and the school. Parent relations are handled via a dedicated Parent Relations Officer who coordinates communication, feedback, and parent involvement.
