YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College follows a British-based curriculum taught in English. Students in the lower and middle years (Forms 1–3) study a broad range of subjects designed to prepare them for international and local examinations. In the senior years, students choose between two academic pathways: the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) or the UK GCE A-Level route. The international stream includes Cambridge IGCSE and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE courses, followed by Cambridge International AS/A Levels. All students take a school-based Chinese language programme, and additional subjects include Mathematics, Sciences, Humanities, Arts, and Physical Education. This dual-pathway structure enables students to progress to universities in Hong Kong or overseas.
YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College (YHKCC) is a co-educational secondary day school in Tung Chung for students aged 11–18. The school offers two pathways: the Hong Kong curriculum leading to HKDSE and an international route with IGCSE and UK GCE A-Levels; English is the medium of instruction for all subjects except second languages, and all students study Chinese through a school-based programme. Facilities and activities support a wide extracurricular offering, with 50+ ECA programmes and distinctive options in sports such as cheerleading, cricket, lacrosse, hockey and rugby. Signature whole-school events include the International Fun Fair, Life-wide Learning Camps and Service Outreach Week. Pastoral care is supported by SEN teachers, an Educational Psychologist, an EAL Coordinator, social workers and a dedicated Wellbeing Centre, and the school notes small class sizes with a low teacher–student ratio.
