The school offers academic clubs. Model United Nations is an annual event that provides opportunities to research, write papers, and debate. The MUN conference brings students from Britannica and other Orbital Education schools for international collaboration. A range of after-school clubs supplements academic development.
Drama, music, art and dance are offered as after-school activities. Art, craft, cookery, and robotics are among the after-school clubs. The program includes a variety of creative and performing arts opportunities.
Modern Foreign Languages (French, German and Spanish) are taught throughout the school by native-speaking teachers. Hungarian is taught across the school for both native and non-native students. As part of Orbital Education, students have access to cultural exchange programs. The school offers international trips and Model United Nations for a global outlook.
After-school clubs include drama, media club, football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, art, robotics, swimming, craft, cookery and dance. Ice-skating and swimming are included as part of the PE curriculum in winter and summer. There are a number of day trips and residential experiences to enrich social and recreational life.
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award includes service components such as community service projects and volunteering. Participants can engage in conservation work and hospital or community volunteering. The Award has Bronze, Silver and Gold levels with minimum participation periods. Gold requires a Gold Residential Project.
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award develops leadership, resilience and life skills. Students undertake weekly meetings with Award Leaders and track progress. The Award includes sections on Service, Adventurous Journey, Skills, and Physical Recreation. Model United Nations also develops leadership, presentation and teamwork.
A broad PE program includes football, basketball, volleyball, and tennis. Winter ice-skating and summer swimming are offered as part of the PE curriculum. Participation in physical activities supports overall well-being.
Britannica International School, Budapest offers a British-style education for pupils aged 5 to 18.
