French, German and Spanish are taught as Modern Foreign Languages throughout the school, delivered by specialist native-speaking teachers. Hungarian is taught across the school for both native and non-native students. An English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme is provided to support the English language development of non-native English-speaking students.
Britannica International School, Budapest offers a British-style education for pupils aged 5 to 18. The curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum and is enriched with Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge A Levels and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE qualifications, preparing students for university study worldwide. Founded in 1996, the school is the longest-established British international school in Hungary and joined the Orbital Education family in 2011. It operates from a purpose-built campus in Budapest's XII district, housing a 250-seat theatre, science labs, an art studio, a music suite, a swimming pool and extensive outdoor facilities.
