The Lycée Français Gustave Eiffel follows the French lycée curriculum for Seconde, Première and Terminale. The school provides psycho-social support through a bilingual school psychologist who is on-site on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00 to 18:00, with additional availability as needed. She can intervene in classes with mental health topics, lead psychoeducational activities, raise awareness, and participate in parent meetings. Individual consultations are available, up to six sessions per student or family. Appointments are arranged through the life-school system for the secondary level and by teachers for the primary. A social worker is on-site to support child protection work, provide consultations, and participate in meetings and classroom interventions. A monthly watch cell coordinates the identification of students in difficulty and follow-up, with confidentiality maintained for all participants.
The school welcomes non-French-speaking students through FLSco (Français Langue de Scolarisation), allowing them to learn French while following the national education program. Allophone students receive support from arrival. In Petite and Moyenne Section, they are immersed in the language with their class to naturally acquire the basics. The FLSco program is open from Grande Section through 5e for non-French-speaking children. In CP, FLSco provides homework assistance by specialist teachers for students with difficulties in the French language whose parents have limited French, to support home learning.

The school provides mental wellbeing support through a bilingual school psychologist on-site Tuesdays and Wednesdays (10:00–18:00), who can intervene in classes on mental health topics and lead psychoeducational activities, as well as attend parent meetings and provide individual consultations (up to six sessions for the same student/family). The psychologist can be contacted via the school's psychology email. A social worker is also on-site (Wednesday 10:00–14:00) to offer individual consultations, crisis intervention, and collaboration with the psychologist, with co-interventions in classrooms as needed. A monthly watch cell identifies students in difficulty and coordinates actions, with all team members maintaining confidentiality.
The safeguarding framework is supported by the psychologist and the social worker, who collaborate with the school to address child protection issues and ensure confidentiality. The social worker coordinates with child protection authorities as required and participates in parent meetings and classroom interventions. The school maintains a watch cell (Cellule de veille) that meets monthly to identify at-risk students, coordinate actions, and monitor follow-up. Parental authorization is required for additional consultations beyond initial visits, and contact details for the psychologist and the social worker are provided for cases requiring assistance.
The Lycée Français Gustave Eiffel de Budapest welcomes children from nursery (from age 3) through to the baccalaureate, offering a French-language education homologated by the Ministère de l'Éducation nationale within the AEFE network present in 130 countries. The 2026-2027 registration campaign is closed. For any questions, contact Mr. The reason to enroll from nursery is that the early years lay the foundations of learning, the language, and confidence, and provide continuity with elementary school while easing the transition to CP. The Eduka platform is used for enrollment, and first registration rights (DPI) and payment modalities are published. For students already enrolled, families will receive a message from the admissions service detailing the renewal calendar and procedures. Scholarships awarded by the French State – campaign 2026/2027: The scholarship campaign for 2026-2027 is open until February 27, 2026. Forms can be downloaded from the French Embassy in Hungary site. Completed and signed applications with all required documents must be submitted by appointment to the Embassy consular section (Fö utca 17, 1011 Budapest) before the deadline. Families may make an appointment with the Scholarships Service at consulat.budapest-amba@diplomatie.gouv.fr or book online. Families may also submit directly via the Scolaide platform. Applications can be for new enrollment starting in 2026 or for renewal if the family benefited from scholarships last year. For more information: the Embassy site and AEFE. In addition, the Solidarity Fund information is provided for Hungarian or non-French students: The Solidarity Fund application for academic year 2026-2027 is available on the school site. The Fund is managed by the Foundation of the Lycée Français de Budapest and is open to Hungarian tax residents; the deadline is March 22, 2026. The maximum award is 50% of tuition up to the end of lower secondary (CP to 3ème) and 80% for upper secondary (2nde to Terminale). The scholarship covers tuition only and does not cover optional services (daycare, AES, meals, bus, etc.). The application form asks for family details and supporting documents, and the file must be completed and emailed to gestion@lfgeb.hu. Documents include proof of identity, income, housing details, and other standard materials, with consent for data processing.
