The school is a small international primary with 62 students. The language of instruction is English, with Hungarian language and literature taught as a separate subject. The IPC and IMYC curricula are used together with the National Core Curriculum. The school day runs from 9:00 to 15:00, with extra-curricular activities and childcare available until 17:00. Students have regular opportunities for outdoor free play and participate in a range of after‑school clubs, including chess, Woodshop, Science Club, dance, beading, painting, guitar, Robocode, Spanish and yoga.
The school uses IPC up to Grade 5 and IMYC from Grade 6, with English as the language of instruction for all subjects except Hungarian. Subjects taught include Art; Design, Technology and Innovation; Geography; Health and Wellbeing; History; ICT and Computing; International; Music; and P.E.; Science is also part of the curriculum. In pre-school, IPC Milepost 1 covers these subjects, including Art; Design, Technology and Innovation; Geography; Health and Wellbeing; History; ICT and Computing; International; Music; P.E.; and Science.
Current extra-curricular clubs begin at 3:00 pm after teaching ends. Clubs are led by school teachers and visiting instructors and are free of charge, with parents invoiced to cover materials. Current clubs include guitar, yoga, chess, planting and gardening, woodshop, science club, dance, cooking, Robocode and self-defence.
Located in Hungary, Szeged International Primary School serves children aged 5 to 13. The school delivers IPC and IMYC curricula in parallel with the Hungarian National Core Curriculum, with English as the language of instruction across most subjects and Hungarian language and literature taught separately. Founded in 2017 by the Kalocsai Krisztina Foundation, it is the region's sole international option for expatriate families in Hungary.
