Kasiga School is the manifestation of a dream to create a school of excellence—perpetually rising above in stature and beyond being a structure of brick and mortar with good facilities. In the early 1990s, Mr Ramesh Batta and Mrs Poonam Batta envisioned the best co-ed residential school in Dehradun that was not elitist yet within reach of parents and students aspiring for quality residential education. The foundation was laid on 5 October 2005 in the presence of prominent intellectuals and educators. The building was completed in 2007, and a Board of Management was constituted in April 2007. Kasiga commenced its academic journey on 8 July 2007 with 10 students.
Kasiga fosters a multicultural community with students and teachers from India, Nepal, UAE, Thailand, Bangladesh, the United States, Canada, Singapore and Russia. The school emphasizes acceptance, respect and international-mindedness, with opportunities for presentations, board displays, collages, skits and more to share cultural heritage. The community celebrates harmonious coexistence in an interconnected world.
