Pastoral care supports the growth and well-being of every student across physical, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual development. It includes proactive elements such as building resilience and promoting a culture of respect, teamwork and participation. Reactive elements include providing comfort in response to hurt and encouragement after disappointment. The programme aims to create belonging, facilitate peer support, track individual progress, and enable early intervention for specific needs while nurturing exceptional abilities. Counselling is an integral part of pastoral care, with one-on-one and group sessions to help students address homesickness, conflicts, coping strategies and academic pressures, and referrals to outside professionals when needed.
The school has a Special Educator (SEN) on staff. Early intervention in identifying and addressing specific needs is enabled by the pastoral framework, and progress for individual students is tracked. The presence of SEN staff and proactive identification supports students with diverse learning needs.
