History

Manovikas translates to Mann ka Vikas (development of the mind) and has guided the school since its establishment in 1968. It began as a single class in a rented house with two teachers and has grown to accommodate over 2,120 students on a campus of about 35,000 sqm. The school is governed by Manovikas Trust with a Board of Trustees led by Eng. Jose Manuel Noronha as Chairman and including Dr. Neena Panandikar as Secretary. The Director is Mrs. Mayalin Noronha, and the primary, secondary, and pre-primary leadership are headed by Mrs. Pallavi Buyao, Mrs. Geetanjali Rallabandi, and Mrs. Brenda Bhandary, respectively.

Community

The school focuses on developing learning abilities, social skills and hand‑and‑mind coordination, and encourages teachers to infuse creativity into their approach. It provides exposure to information technology from an early age and supports coaching in sports and extracurricular activities, including a prestigious school band and on‑campus environmental practices such as waste management and energy conservation.
