Since 2001, Riverside has designed, implemented and shared a unique, user-centered curriculum that focuses on quality learning and student well-being. The school aims to be for the world, launching initiatives to take the I CAN Mindset beyond its ecosystem. aProCh was founded in 2007 to create child-friendly cities by making public spaces more accessible to children. Design for Change was founded in 2009 to bring the Design Thinking framework into classrooms. Riverside Learning Center was founded in 2015 to extend Riverside's practices through training and advisory work inspired by Riverside.
Riverside hosts a range of community events and milestone celebrations. aProCh collaborated with Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and partners to host the AmdavadNXT exhibition on public transport at Riverfront House from February 21–23. Key Stage 1 celebrated its Sports Day on January 23, and a Riverside teacher retreat was held on January 17–18 to celebrate 25 years. As part of the 25-year celebrations, a Parents' Gathering took place on January 10, 2026, and an Alumni Homecoming occurred on January 9, 2026.
Riverside School Ahmedabad is a day international school offering the Cambridge curriculum alongside a bespoke program. In the upper grades, students sit Cambridge IGCSE, followed by Cambridge AS Levels and A Levels, with a subject spread in English, languages, sciences, business and economics. For Key Stages 1 and 2, the school follows the Riverside Well-Being Curriculum, focused on social, emotional, physical, spiritual and cognitive development, underpinned by the I CAN Mindset and Design Thinking. The campus is designed to support creative inquiry, featuring the Maker-Verse makerspace with a CNC router, 3D printer, laser cutter, woodworking tools and electronics equipment. Sport is integrated through inclusive teams in football, basketball, cricket and volleyball. Unique programs include inclusive campus initiatives, World is My School volunteer activities and ongoing leadership development through the I CAN approach. The school emphasizes small class sizes, a well-stocked library and a graded reading program, guiding curious, compassionate learners.
