Academic and Intellectual

The New Age Curriculum provides a holistic, personalised learning experience and aims to nurture compassionate, future-ready national and global citizens who are independent and free-thinking. It emphasises active and experiential learning, blends kinesthetic methods with technology for Digital Age Learning, and creates a learning adventure that develops emotional intelligence, leadership and entrepreneurial skills. The three core elements are Outcome-Based Experiential Learning, Ikigai Centre for Learning, and the Sports Academy of Excellence.

Arts and Creative

Ikigai Centre for Learning includes a School of Music, Theater and Puppetry, an Art Atelier and a Dance Studio. It hosts 12 Foundational Initiatives such as the 15 Books Campaign, Physical and Mental Health Session, Entrepreneurship Programme, Corporate Internship, Career Counselling, Alumni Programme, Financial Management Programme and Innovation Academy. It also runs eight Passion Building Initiatives including Center for Social Impact, Revival of Lost Art, Eco and Gardening Programme, Home Science, Global Citizenship, Math Navigator, Mystery of Science, and Indian Heritage and Culture, and nine Vocational Initiatives such as Speech and Drama Club, Vocal Music Club, Coding Club, Pottery Club, Foreign Language Club, MUN Young Directors Programme, Ryan TV and Student Exchange Programme.

Cultural and Language

A Foreign Language Club supports language exploration, and Indian Heritage and Culture is listed among Passion Building Initiatives. A Student Exchange Programme and a MUN Young Directors Programme foster global citizenship and cross-cultural understanding. The Ikigai Centre for Learning also incorporates cultural components as part of its holistic development.

Social and Hobbies

Nine Vocational Initiatives cover creative and technical clubs, including Speech and Drama Club, Vocal Music Club, Coding Club, Pottery Club, Foreign Language Club, MUN Young Directors Programme, Ryan TV and Student Exchange Programme. In addition, arts, theatre, music and dance programs are integrated through the Ikigai Centre for Learning as part of everyday life at RIS. Student-led platforms and clubs provide opportunities for collaboration and personal interest development.
