The Mother's International School follows Sri Aurobindo and The Mother's vision of integral education to help a child realise his own unique potential. It aims at the flowering of the child's physical, emotional, mental and spiritual personality. It widens consciousness to help the child manifest that within him which is uniquely his, leading to satisfaction and success in individual living as well as social, national and international life. It looks beyond formal education and prepares students for lifelong learning.
Specialized clubs include MINET – Technology, Impulse – Physics, Synapse – Biology, Alchemy – Chemistry, Iris – Photography, Fitoor – Drama, Lyceum – Liberal Arts, My Mind Matters (3M) – Mental Health, Environmental Club, Debate Club and Design Club. Painting is offered as an art subject in Senior Secondary. The MIS choir has performed at a Rashtrapati Bhavan ceremony.
French National Day Celebrations are held as part of Inter-House activities. Hindi Poetry Festival is celebrated within MIS. World Population Day Debate is listed in the school calendar. Shri Surendra Nath Jauhar Faquir Memorial Birthday Celebration is observed.
Social and hobby activities are nurtured through the school's clubs, including Debate Club, Environmental Club, Iris – Photography Club, Fitoor – Drama Club and Design Club. The school hosts MISMUN (Model United Nations), fostering diplomacy, public speaking and teamwork. Inter-school and in-house competitions and exhibitions also provide avenues for extra-curricular engagement.
SEWA – Social Empowerment through Work Education and Action – is integrated into the school's Health and Physical Education and related activities. The Annual Exhibition features SEWA Clubs for classes 9–11. Earth Day and other service-oriented activities are part of MIS's calendar and events.
Investiture Ceremony and house captain elections promote student leadership. MISMUN provides opportunities for leadership, negotiation and policy-writing skills. SEWA and club activities like Lyceum support development of professional and leadership capabilities.
Health and Physical Education cover Games & Sports and Health and Fitness activities such as Yoga, Jogging and Mass PT. SEWA incorporates well-being oriented activities for students. The calendar also highlights sport and fitness events like Khelo MIS and inter-school tournaments.
Located on a 9.28-acre campus on Sri Aurobindo Marg, The Mother's International School offers CBSE education from primary to senior secondary. Established in 1956 by the Sri Aurobindo Education Society, it has been CBSE-affiliated since 1986. The school provides classes I–XII with English and Hindi at core, plus a broad arts and activity program in the primary years, and languages such as Sanskrit or French from middle school. The Senior Secondary curriculum covers subjects across sciences, humanities and commerce, with Art Education and a focus on health and physical education. Facilities include extensive outdoor space, indoor games, a gymnasium, dance rooms and a music room, as well as health and medical checkups; libraries with a Senior Library (5264 sq ft) and a Junior Library (880 sq ft) housing thousands of reference books, dailies and magazines. SEWA is integrated into student life, alongside MISMUN and a range of clubs. The MIS choir has performed at Rashtrapati Bhavan, and painting and drama are part of the school's offerings.
