Established in 1956 by the Sri Aurobindo Education Society, it has been CBSE-affiliated since 1986. The school provides classes I–XII with English and Hindi at core, plus a broad arts and activity program in the primary years, and languages such as Sanskrit or French from middle school. The Senior Secondary curriculum covers subjects across sciences, humanities and commerce, with Art Education and a focus on health and physical education. SEWA is integrated into student life, alongside MISMUN and a range of clubs. The MIS choir has performed at Rashtrapati Bhavan, and painting and drama are part of the school's offerings.
