The Mother's International School was established in 1956 at Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi. It is owned by the Sri Aurobindo Education Society. It is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) since 1986. The campus spans 9.28 acres on Sri Aurobindo Marg. The Sri Aurobindo Education Society is the trust behind the school and it is registered under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956.
The MIS calendar features a broad slate of annual and inter-school events across both Primary and Senior Wings, including the Annual Athletic Meet, MISMUN for classes 9–12, Earth Day celebrations, ABHIVYAKTI – School Foundation Day, and inter-house activities such as GK/Quiz events and exhibitions. Other calendar events commonly listed include Teachers' Day, Republic Day assemblies, and various cultural celebrations throughout the year. The school also runs events such as art exhibitions and inter-school competitions that appear in the senior calendar.

Located on a 9.28-acre campus on Sri Aurobindo Marg, The Mother's International School offers CBSE education from primary to senior secondary. Established in 1956 by the Sri Aurobindo Education Society, it has been CBSE-affiliated since 1986. The school provides classes I–XII with English and Hindi at core, plus a broad arts and activity program in the primary years, and languages such as Sanskrit or French from middle school. The Senior Secondary curriculum covers subjects across sciences, humanities and commerce, with Art Education and a focus on health and physical education. Facilities include extensive outdoor space, indoor games, a gymnasium, dance rooms and a music room, as well as health and medical checkups; libraries with a Senior Library (5264 sq ft) and a Junior Library (880 sq ft) housing thousands of reference books, dailies and magazines. SEWA is integrated into student life, alongside MISMUN and a range of clubs. The MIS choir has performed at Rashtrapati Bhavan, and painting and drama are part of the school's offerings.
