Billing schedule and payment terms
- Instalment split: 40% due as the first instalment, then three instalments of 20% each across the academic cycle; instalments follow the school's academic cycle and published instalment dates for the year. Parents may choose to pay the entire annual fee in a single payment instead of instalments.
- At the time of admission parents are required to pay the one-time admission fee plus the first instalment and the brochure fee on the same day to confirm admission. Example (as published for the admission cycle): One‑time admission fee INR 75,000 + first instalment + brochure INR 1,000 to be paid at admission.
- The school enforces due dates and a late fee is applicable if instalments are not paid by the due date; instalment due dates are issued in fee circulars and the school calendar. The school may require outstanding instalments and any late fees to be settled before processing admission withdrawal or transfer documentation. Cash payments to the Accounts Office are not accepted in normal practice; the school makes a bank counter available on specific days for physical payments when announced. Payments made by unidentified bank transfers (NEFT/UPI) that cannot be traced may attract late fee charges until identified.
Boarding / hostel fees
- The Orchid School at Baner operates as a day school and does not provide a boarding/hostel programme; boarding fees are not applicable.
Other costs / additional fees
- Uniform: Uniforms are supplied through the school-authorised vendor (Yogi's Kids); uniform costs vary by size/grade and are payable separately by parents at the vendor. Uniform stalls are run on school premises at designated times.
- Books and stationery: Book collection and book-store details are published; book and stationery costs are charged separately at the time of book collection. The school may deduct Teaching & Learning Material (TLM) charges from refundable amounts where the refund policy permits.
- Transport / bus: School bus service is offered through an external transport provider (Sharvari School Bus Service). Transport fees are charged separately; route and fee details are provided by the transport desk and vary by route. Parents are encouraged to book directly through the transport desk when it is opened each session.
- Optional activities and events: Fees for optional excursions, camps, exchange programmes and similar activities are charged in addition to tuition and are billed as per actuals when those programmes are organised. CBSE registration/examination fees (where applicable) are charged separately at time of registration or as announced.
Refund and withdrawal policy (key points)
- Pre‑Primary to Grade 10:
- If a student has not attended the school even for a single day after taking admission, 50% of the one-time admission fee may be refunded. The refund will be processed after deduction of Teaching & Learning Material (TLM) charges and only from the book collection date onward. If the student attends even a single day, no refund of the one-time admission fee is payable.
- Grades 11 and 12:
- No refund of fees or admission payments is applicable in any situation (provisional or confirmed admission) once admission has been taken.
- Mid‑term withdrawal: If withdrawal is submitted after the due date of school fees and the student has attended school, the parent is liable to pay the instalment for the respective quarter and any late fee applicable before withdrawal is processed. Transfer/Bonafide Certificates are issued only after a ‘No Dues' clearance from all relevant departments and settlement of outstanding fees.
Fee payment options and refund mechanics
- Online payment gateway: The school accepts online payments via BillDesk (card payments and net‑banking through the BillDesk gateway). The school uses the Edunext fee portal for online fee payments. Refunds and cancellations are credited back to the original account or card used for payment.
- Physical payments: On occasion the school arranges a bank counter on campus for parents wishing to make physical payments; the Accounts Office generally does not accept direct cash. The school advises against using unidentifiable NEFT/UPI transfers because they are difficult to track; unidentified transfers can delay fee reconciliation and may attract late fees until resolved.
