Admissions

Admissions

The school has a non-selective admission policy. The criterion for acceptance is academic attainment, not age; a three-year age range may exist in the same class, and generally any student willing to learn is accepted. There are no academic requirements for admission to Kindergarten (3–5 years); these levels are interviewed and the students must be toilet-trained and able to speak and follow simple instructions. All other prospective students take diagnostic tests in core subjects to determine whether they have attained the minimum standard; final placement decisions follow, with the option of summer school or extra classes to help bring a student to the required level; special academic support is taken seriously. The enrollment process is personal and informative; there is no application deadline, but early initiation is recommended; applications are accepted on a space-available basis throughout the school year; a joining fee is required to initiate the process. Along with the student application form, the following documents are requested: Completed Application Form, Copy of Identity Card or Passport, Two Passport Photographs, Final School Report from Previous School. Testing applies to Grades 2 and above; testing results inform placement. Appointments for diagnostic testing can be made via NSdiq@cadmuserbil.sabis.net or by calling +964 750 507 3030 / +964 750 508 3030. Admission decisions are made after careful evaluation of the candidates; results of diagnostic testing and previous school records are considered on a case-by-case basis; additional criteria include motivation, social and emotional development, willingness to work hard, and the school's ability to accommodate the needs of the candidate. Once accepted and fees paid, a place is reserved.
