Established in 2015, Bunka Suginami Canadian International School (BSCIS) is an accredited British Columbia Offshore School that serves students in grades 7-12. The program is centered on a partnership that brings together the strengths of Canadian and Japanese educational systems. The host school is Bunka Gakuen University Suginami Junior and Senior High School, which has a history of over 50 years and is part of the Bunka Gakuen Educational Foundation, home to Japan's leading fashion institution. The host school is a private institution fully accredited by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, offering authentic Japanese school life with a focus on academic depth and character development. Graduates earn two official qualifications: the Japanese High School Certificate and the British Columbia Dogwood Diploma.
