GIIS Tokyo offers a broad range of after-school programmes and ECAs that extend academic inquiry beyond the classroom. The school hosts Model United Nations conferences, enabling research, debate, and collaboration across students. The 9GEMS holistic framework guides clubs and competitions toward leadership, STEAM, and innovation. Examples of academic-enrichment activities include science clubs and related competitions.
Arts and creative activities are part of GIIS Tokyo's ECAs, including music, dance, visual arts, and crafts. Historical materials show offerings such as guitar, tabla, Bharatanatyam, origami, ceramics, and painting. The Seishincho Campus hosted Summer School 2022 with painting, arts and crafts, STEM, and dance. A Fancy Dress Competition in 2022 at Seishincho demonstrated student creativity and performance.

Leadership development is embedded in the 9GEMS framework. GIIS Tokyo offers Career Counselling and University Guidance to support students' post-school planning. Model United Nations and other ECAs provide leadership opportunities.
9GEMS includes a focus on sports and wellness as a core element. The Happiness Index measures student wellbeing and supports a positive learning environment. The Seishincho campus's Summer Camp in 2022 included Yoga and dance, promoting physical and mental wellbeing.
GIIS Tokyo’s Seishincho campus is a preschool campus in Edogawa-ku, described as being located along the Arakawa River side in Seishincho. The campus delivers the Global Montessori Plus (GMP) programme, which GIIS describes as combining Montessori education with “digital-era methods,” and it is offered at Seishincho and Kitakasai. GIIS highlights GMP’s “5 pillars,” including the Excelerate Programme, Multi-faceted Learning, iPlay Programme, iCare Programme and a Future Ready Programme. For admissions planning, GIIS publishes a Tokyo fees page that includes the GMP fee structure and notes that each academic year consists of four terms.
