The school may accommodate students with mild special needs, but it does not admit students with profound learning difficulties. Admission and ongoing support are contingent on meeting the school's placement criteria and resources.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Standard practice: fees are payable annually; quarterly payment is accepted for families as specified by the school. Invoices are issued in July. For Niseko long-term/permanent residents, the first payment is due on August 20 immediately preceding the school year. Seasonal (part-time) Niseko residents may request monthly billing for the months attended. For students enrolling after Opening Day, payment is due prior to enrollment.

Required payment method(s)

- Tuition and fee payments for the Niseko branch are required to be made by bank transfer; the school's admissions guidance specifies bank transfers as the required payment route and indicates tuition/fee payments are expected on a quarterly basis unless otherwise agreed.

Refund and cancellation information

- Tuition is charged for every quarter in which a student attended; the school does not prorate or refund portions of a quarter for regular (long-term) students. For seasonal students, tuition is charged and refunded on a monthly basis for months attended. Bus fees follow the same quarterly refund practice. In principle, tuition and fees are non-refundable. Returning families are asked to pay a non-refundable ¥50,000 reservation toward the annual fee to reserve a spot; new families must pay the non-refundable application fee at enrollment to reserve a spot. In the event of unpaid fees, school records will be withheld until fees are paid in full.

Notes on amounts and variations

- The figures above reflect the Niseko branch fee schedule published for the most recent Niseko tuition document and the school's dormitory schedule. Some HIS-wide documents show separate or updated figures for the Sapporo campus and for later academic years; Niseko-specific schedules include facility, device, bus, and seasonal payment options as listed above. Where the school offers seasonal or short-term enrolment, monthly billing options apply and the applicable monthly amount depends on the month of enrollment.

Summary of common payment items parents should expect

- One-time: application fee (¥20,000) and entrance fee (¥200,000); dorm room deposit where applicable (¥50,000).
- Annual/recurring: tuition by grade (listed above), facility fee (¥100,000), insurance (¥5,500), PTA fee (¥5,000), device management and elective fees as applicable.

If you require these amounts to be displayed in another currency or broken down further by monthly instalments for seasonal attendance, the school's admissions and tuition schedule provide the established annual, quarterly and (for seasonal students) monthly figures as shown above.

Pupil Nationality Mix

Public information does not publish exact numbers for pupil nationalities. Admissions priorities favor children of expatriates from English-speaking countries, then expatriates from other countries, Japanese returnees, and Japanese families with compelling reasons. The Niseko campus serves both expatriate and Japanese families, and staff come from multiple countries.
