English is the primary language of KAIS instruction; KAIS classes are taught in English as part of the middle school curriculum. Japanese language instruction supports the program, with Japanese teachers focusing on vocabulary, grammar, and syntax to build a foundation for English proficiency. There is an Overseas English Training component for Grade 8 with an associated training fee. In high school, students follow the fusion of Alberta and Japanese curricula to earn the Alberta Double Diploma.
KAIS is a six-year program within Kunimoto Gakuen that offers both the Alberta curriculum and the Japanese local curriculum starting from Grade 7. KAIS courses are delivered in English and are integrated into the middle school curriculum. The program continues into high school as the Alberta Double Diploma (DD) program, blending the two curricula to prepare students for graduation with both diplomas. KAIS holds Alberta Education Tier 3 accreditation, enabling the Alberta diploma to be conferred.
Kunimoto Alberta International School is a six-year all-girls program in Tokyo offering Grades 7 through 12.
