Introduction

Al Hassad Al Tarbawi Schools in Amman offer a multi-track, bilingual education for students aged 3 to 18 across single-gender campuses with a girls' secondary school. The school provides options including Bespoke Curriculum, British Curriculum, Cambridge IGCSE, American Curriculum, and BTEC qualifications, with four academic tracks: International, Industrial, Literary, and Scientific. A distinctive feature is the X10 Project, a school-wide program that guides children from early literacy at age three through fluent bilingual proficiency by preparatory year. Established in 2003–2004, the campuses are powered by solar energy and house nurseries, classrooms, libraries, and a suite of laboratories—virtual reality, robotics, science—plus eight computer labs. Sports facilities include indoor halls, outdoor green spaces, and pools. The school emphasizes bilingual Arabic-English learning from the earliest years and offers a program for non-Arabic speakers. A philanthropic Cancer Care Support Program with King Hussein Cancer Center demonstrates a commitment to service in the wider community.

Academics

Al Hassad Al Tarbawi Schools teaches Bespoke Curriculum, British Curriculum, Cambridge IGCSE, American Curriculum, BTEC Qualification for students aged 3 to 18.

Curriculum

The school offers four tracks: International Track, Industrial Track, Literary Track, and Scientific Track. The X10 Project is a school-wide program starting in early childhood; a child as young as 3 begins learning reading and writing, in the kindergarten phase masters letters and numbers and reading, and in the preparatory stage becomes proficient in both Arabic and English and can read and write in both languages.

Exam Results

In 2019 we were second in the Kingdom in the General Secondary Education results for the Scientific track. We achieved second place in the Arab world among 41,000 Arabic-language schools. The school took first place in the growth of the international IGCSE program this year. It is the only school in Jordan to have received the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence for its ninth cycle.

Gifted and Talented

X10 Project is the strongest project at the Arab world level, where a student in early years (from age 3 in kindergarten) begins learning reading and writing; in kindergarten the student masters letters and numbers and reading; and in the preparatory stage the student becomes proficient in both Arabic and English and can read and write in both languages.

Admissions

Admissions

1. From the beginning of March each year, the new student visits the Admissions and Registration Department to obtain a No Objection to Registration form (QF 01-07) and takes it with him to the Admissions Examinations Committee and Interviews Committee to certify the exam and interview results, with those results signed by the authorized committees before returning the form to the Registration Department to begin the registration process. 2. The new student sits for an admission exam and a personal interview according to the procedure described in Supervisory Department Form No. 7. After approval of the admission, the student and the parent review the Registration Department, bringing the No Objection to Registration. 3. The student then completes the admission steps: a school tour and interview with the principal, a review of the admission and registration and obtaining the No Objection form, a review by the supervision section for evaluation and examination and to fix the interview result, and then returning to the Admissions and Registration to complete the required papers and pay the fees. 4. After that, the student proceeds to the Supplies Department to receive the uniform and books. 5. Documents required include: for the Playgroup, Nursery, Pre-K and Grade 1 group — three passport photos, a certified birth certificate, a family book copy, and the original immunization card; for Grades 2 through 12 — a student file containing all required papers; for students coming from outside the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan — documents must be certified by the originating country (Ministry of Education in that country, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Jordanian Embassy) and then authenticated in Jordan by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Examinations and Tests, or the Directorate of Private Education (the school can complete authentication on behalf of the student). 6. Old students (those renewing) are not automatically registered and must reserve a seat by paying the registration fee; otherwise they have the same registration priority as new students subject to seat availability. 7. General notes include: a school bus system that starts early in the morning; transport to additional zones only with prior coordination; and the right to adjust bus fees if fuel prices rise. 8. The school requires that students and families follow the student code of conduct as part of the registration agreement and, for students in certain stages, that the student signs the conduct code themselves. Bus and uniform procedures, and the sequence of steps for completing the registration are detailed in the admission procedures and related sections. (Source material: Admissions page and subpages.)

Scholarships

Tuition discounts and scholarships are offered by the school. Cash payments for tuition and transportation by specific dates qualify for progressive discounts: 5% off if paid in full for tuition and transportation by 30-04-2026; 4% off by 30-06-2026; 3% off by 31-08-2026; 2% off by 31-10-2026. Sibling discounts apply as follows: the fourth child receives 20%, the third 15%, the second 10%; the seventh child or more receives 70%, the sixth 40%, and the fifth 25%. Academic excellence scholarships are awarded in the Basic Education phase: the top student on a class in 6th and 7th grades receives 15%, the top on the grade average receives 25%; for 8th grade the top student across the grade receives 25% and the top in the grade average receives 50%; for 9th and 10th grades the table indicates to apply based on ranking, with additional notes. Cash prizes are awarded for top performers in school activities at the national or directorate level (e.g., 100–200 Jordanian dinars for the top three places). There are separate scholarships and discounts for non-Arabic speakers and for supportive education programs (e.g., 500 JD annually for supportive education, and 500 JD for non-Arabic speakers; 25 JD for diagnostic testing for supportive education and 25 JD per semester for final tests for non-Arabic speakers). The school also provides a cancer care relief program in cooperation with a partner foundation (significant details include potential sponsorship through the Hussein Cancer Center and related terms). A cancer care sponsorship program for eligible families may involve signing an agreement with a sponsor to cover cancer treatment costs while maintaining continued schooling. Parked notes cover where the discounts apply (tuition only, not transportation, except for cash payments) and conditions for applying, along with rules for merit-based and activity-based awards. Program extras include additional services and supports as listed (e.g., annual program fees for supportive services). In addition, there are details about the return conditions, withdrawal policies, and a timetable for payments and transportation charges.
