The school offers an English-medium U.S. curriculum from PreK through Grade 12. The standards include Common Core Math and Language Arts, Next Generation Science Standards, National Core Arts Standards, SHAPE standards, ACTFL standards, and the C3 Framework for social studies. AP courses are offered, with 23 AP courses available. The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA), with re-accreditation through December 2027.
Arabic is taught in elementary school, and middle and high school students can choose from Arabic, French, and Spanish. The language program aligns with ACTFL standards. An English as an Additional Language (EAL) program supports students with varying levels of English.
The school offers a wide range of co-curricular activities and athletics. Middle School Scorpion Council and High School Student Council provide leadership experiences. Travel opportunities enable programs for sports, arts, academics, and service, including Beyond the Classroom, SAISA, International School Theatre Association, and Model United Nations.
Service Learning engages students from kindergarten through 12th grade in meaningful community engagement, with at least one Service Learning experience each year. Beyond the Classroom includes international community service opportunities. The Service Learning program aligns with ACS's mission to create global advocates.
Middle School Scorpion Council and High School Student Council provide leadership opportunities and civic engagement experiences. Student leaders plan assemblies, events, and service activities that involve the broader ACS community. Travel opportunities offer leadership experiences through international programs and partnerships.
The Learning Commons is a central hub for collaboration, with spaces for quiet study and a cafe. Learning Support (LS) and English as an Additional Language (EAL) services support students' academic and language needs. The school uses 1:1 technology devices and maintains small class sizes. After-school Exploration Program and travel opportunities support student wellness and balanced development.
