Arab Model Schools were founded in 1983 by a group of dedicated board members, establishing a private educational institution in Amman. In 1985, the National Section opened for Kindergarten through Grade 6, and by 1991 all classes extended through Grade 12 with Literary and Scientific streams. In 2008, the school established the International program (IGCSE). In 2019, the school received approval to begin implementing the American program, broadening its curriculum. The school is governed by a Board of Directors.
AMS maintains a diverse student body across national and international tracks, with active parental involvement shaping school life. Extracurricular activities span sports, arts, clubs, and leadership programs, complementing the academic program. AMS participates in community and cultural activities such as Model United Nations and Model Arab League through its international offerings.
