Wellbeing is a central priority at ICS Amman, guided by a strong pastoral team and a comprehensive wellbeing curriculum that equips students to navigate their contexts; real-time data collection from teacher check-ins for younger students and EI Pulse for Years 4–13 enables staff to identify and support those in need, with close collaboration between the pastoral leadership team and school counsellors creating a supportive network.
ICS Amman operates an Inclusion Department that covers Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), English as an Additional Language (EAL), Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language Therapy to support a wide spectrum of abilities including mild to moderate learning or physical needs; it does not publicly disclose whether it is a specialist SEN institution.
English as an Additional Language support is provided through the EAL provision within the Inclusion Department, offering support during English-based subjects and across the curriculum, including pull-out classes to maximise language learning.
Mental wellbeing is supported by a wellbeing-focused program, a proactive pastoral leadership team and school counsellors, a wellbeing curriculum, and data-informed approaches to respond to student needs.
Safeguarding is addressed through the Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy, with safeguarding training for bus service staff and related safeguarding measures across school operations.
