House activities include House Days, Poetry, General Knowledge, Rugby, Basketball, Science, Book Week, Football, Maths, Cake Sale, Spelling Bee and Green Week.
The Board of Governors is the highest authority in the School's organisation. It has 10 members and oversees the School's progress and draws up strategy plans; it meets three or four times a year, with operational work delegated to four subcommittees.
New English School (NES) Amman is a private, coeducational day school serving nursery through secondary, with students aged 2 to 18. It runs a dual British and American pathway: Cambridge International programmes (Primary to A Levels) alongside the American High School Diploma, with AP and Pre-AP courses and college counseling. Cambridge frameworks are used across Primary, Lower and Upper Secondary, including IGCSE in Years 10–11 and AS/A Levels in Years 12–13; Arabic, Religion and Global Perspectives follow Jordanian curriculum requirements. NES has been an Edexcel and Cambridge Examinations Centre since 1991. The campus supports a 24-bus fleet, a full-time health clinic, libraries (including Said El Turk Library) and specialist labs across science and ICT, plus a theatre seating 350 and sport and arts facilities. An English Only Stream and a multicultural environment reflect NES's 39 nationalities. The school emphasizes university readiness through counseling and a Model United Nations program, globally.
