Philadelphia National Schools were founded in 1992 in Amman, Jordan. P.N.S operates as a private educational system organized around three buildings: one for both the kindergarten and primary school, another for the girls' secondary school, and the third for the boys' secondary school. The curriculum includes the National Program for KG-12 that leads to the Secondary Certificate (Tawjihi) and follows the Jordanian Ministry curricula. The school is governed by a School Committee with participation from parents and the wider community. Philadelphia University has signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation with Philadelphia National Schools to foster collaboration.
The school is located in the Al Rawnaq area of Amman and consists of three buildings with large playgrounds and convenient parking. The facilities include a fully equipped medical clinic, libraries with English and Arabic collections, and four computer labs (plus in-class computers in the KG). There are three specialized science labs (biology, chemistry, physics) and programs in music and fine arts, as well as two cafeterias and a closed swimming pool. The school observes cultural and national events as part of its community life, including open days and Mother's Day celebrations, and it marks Ramadan/Eid and other occasions on the calendar.
The Philadelphia National Schools have organized a Parent–Teacher Association to foster interaction between home and the school environment. Its aim is to discuss, evaluate and solve social and educational issues. The PTA participates in the school's annual activities to enhance this relationship and to demonstrate the value of belonging to a community. The association supports a comprehensive Special Educational Needs framework, with qualified teachers who identify hearing, visual or language difficulties early and work with parents and homeroom teachers to address them. The PTA page describes facilities that support student welfare—such as medical care, libraries, and computer and science labs—which the school associates with a safe and engaging learning environment. The campus comprises three buildings on a roughly 1200 square meters area, underscoring the scale at which parent involvement operates within the school.
Philadelphia National School (P.N.S) in Amman operates a two-program structure: Kindergarten and Primary School for both boys and girls, and separate secondary schools for girls and for boys. The National Program follows the Jordanian Ministry Curricula and leads to the Tawjihi certificate, with additional options in IGCSE, SAT, and A-Levels. The Kindergarten provides a garden-like setting to ease the transition from home to school. P.N.S also offers special courses in Science, French, and Mathematics within the National Program, and maintains a dedicated program for students with special learning needs. The school has a Foreign Programs Department for grades 7–12. Physical education includes four outdoor playgrounds, a heated swimming pool, a gym, and a room for chess. Libraries include books in English and Arabic. A Parent–Teacher Association facilitates home–school interaction and involvement in school activities.
