It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
1. Inquiry and campus visit. Parents may arrange an appointment with the Admissions Office to discuss questions or take a campus tour. The school emphasizes the importance of whether it can meet a student's learning, behavioral, language, and well‑being needs so the student can thrive.
2. Applications and online submission. Applications for the 2026–2027 school year are currently open. Create an online account, complete the application, upload the required documents, and finalize submission by paying the 15 JD / 25 USD application fee. This fee is collected to complete the submission of the application.
3. Supporting documents. Provide a copy of the student's passport, the latest report card, transcript (for grades 9–12), a teacher recommendation, and any learning support documents (IEP or assessments, if applicable). The Admissions Team uses these documents to assess placement and fit. Additional documents may be requested as part of the review.
4. Entrance testing. Applicants may be required to complete English and/or Math assessments to support placement. Second-language English speakers must take a brief reading, writing and speaking test. Parents will be contacted directly if testing is needed.
5. Interview & review. The Admissions Team reviews each application, considering academics, language and international experience. Interviews may be requested for some applicants as part of the decision process.
6. Admissions criteria and process basics. Whitman Academy admits students from around the world, and a passport from a foreign country is required (per Jordanian law). Applicants must be at least 6 years old by December 31 to be eligible for Grade 1. Admissions priority is given to expat families living outside of their home culture, and all applicants must demonstrate fluency in English (with language assessment arranged if needed). A family interview may be requested before an admission decision.
7. Decision and enrollment steps. Admissions decisions are communicated after review, and a family interview may be requested prior to final decision. If admitted, parents must sign the Statement of Evangelical Faith, the Child Protection Policy, and the Parent Admission Agreement Form. Elementary students may not be admitted to a class more than one year older or younger than their classmates.
