Admissions

Admissions

Step 1. Registration. Families and prospective children are warmly welcome to visit TAMOS Education. Parents can register their children at any age, and TAMOS Education will continue to accept applications as long as places are available. Registration does not guarantee a place but ensures the child will be considered for the selection process.

Step 2. General Admission Requirements. Admission requires agreement to follow TAMOS Education policies, acceptance of the teaching methods, and understanding and acceptance of the school's programs. Students are admitted throughout the year under the following conditions: the child's age falls within the correct age range for the grade (September intake); the student can pass the appropriate exam for the course and level; the student has consistent good reports from the previous school; and there are available places in the class that do not exceed the defined class limit.

Step 3. Selection Process. The selection process begins on April 1 for Kazakh, Russian, and Cambridge streams. The applicant must submit the following paperwork: letter or statement of intent from the parents; the child's medical records and medical passport; parents' certificate of residence and proof of address. An interview with the student is then conducted in the learning medium of the chosen school (Kazakh, Russian or English). The student must pass a competitive entry test designed by TAMOS Education in English, Kazakh, Russian, Math and Science, depending on the course and grade. The availability of spaces in each grade is also considered. If there is no space, the family's name and child are placed on a waiting list, and when a place becomes available the family is invited for interview and testing.

Step 4. Probation. For new students there is a two-month probation period to help the student settle in. During this time, teachers, homeroom teachers, counselors and psychologists provide support. If there are ongoing issues with settling in, these will be discussed with the parent.

Step 5. Enrollment after the first term. Enrollment after the beginning of the first term is possible if the following conditions are met: the parents agree to the general admission requirements; the appropriate paperwork is provided; there are good academic results and good behaviour reports; there is available space in the chosen class; final admission is at the discretion of the school directors.

Waitlist

If a class has no available places, the waiting list holds the names of the parents and student. When a place becomes available, the family is invited for interview and testing.
