The school follows the British National Curriculum with additional learning opportunities to extend and internationalise the curriculum. The school offers Cambridge International Examinations and BTEC Level 3 qualifications. MAD (Music, Art and Drama) is integrated into the curriculum, with school productions, music concerts, talent shows and art competitions. ABRSM examinations are used for music assessment.
MAD (Music, Art and Drama) enables participation in school productions, music concerts, talent shows and art competitions. A team of peripatetic music teachers instructs students on instruments such as drums, brass, strings and voice. Students are assessed in music by ABRSM.
Model United Nations is offered as an optional club in the school. In MSMUN, students form four committees, write resolutions, and participate in conference debates. Braeburn Imani delegates have been recognised for achievements, including Best Resolution and Best Speaker awards. The MSMUN conference is held at the UN Offices in Gigiri or virtually.
The school offers a diverse range of clubs including Cookery, Yoga, Model United Nations, Blogging, Entrepreneurship, Gardening, STEM, Maths Clinic, Board Games and Sporting clubs. Clubs provide both sporting and academic activities for pupils from Primary to Secondary. A dedicated clubs program is run at Braeburn Imani with staff support, including a Clubs Coordinator.
FABI (Friends at Braeburn Imani) is the school's community group. FABI supports activities and events that engage families and the local community. The school emphasises community involvement through these initiatives.
A KS3 Enrichment program provides leadership opportunities and enrichment for students. A Clubs Coordinator oversees the school's extracurricular offerings. Model United Nations gives students leadership roles as ambassadors and delegates. The school's leadership team includes a Head of Secondary and other senior staff responsible for curriculum and administration.
Sport is a central part of life at Braeburn Imani, with participation in fixtures organised through the Kenya Association for Independent International Schools (KAIIS). The school offers a wide range of sports including athletics, football, rugby, hockey, swimming, cross country, netball and rounders. The facilities include a 25-metre swimming pool, an open-air auditorium and playing fields. Transport is provided by a fleet of satellite-tracked school buses.
Braeburn Imani International School is a co-educational, boarding day and residential community in Kenya. The school follows the British National Curriculum with additional opportunities to broaden and extend learning. In Key Stage One, English and Mathematics are taught daily, and Year 2 introduces French; in Key Stage Two, Drama is taught by a specialist, and the Performing Arts feature an annual whole‑school production. Sport runs through inter-school fixtures and inter-house competitions. The campus occupies 20 acres in a purpose-built setting. Modern facilities include classrooms equipped with data projectors and ICT, a dedicated 6th Form area, a well-stocked library, and specialist spaces for Music, Computing, Art, Science, and Food and Nutrition. An open-air auditorium, playing fields, a 25-metre pool with an EY pool, a staffed dining facility, a sick bay, a fleet of buses, and secure parking complete the environment. Extra-curriculars include MAD, MUN, and STEM, alongside other clubs and sports.
