Admissions

Admissions

1) By the first week of February, the KG Principal, Elementary Principal, and MS/HS School Principal provide the School Registrar with a list of possible interview/test dates. Parents receive an annually updated School Prospectus that includes the school mission, the school day and calendar, and the fees/payment schedule. The Registrar uses these inputs to schedule the interview and placement testing with the families.

2) The Registrar conducts the initial interview with the parents and student. The Registrar requests basic requirements, including an official transcript or report cards for the past three years, including the most recent one. During and at the end of the interview, teachers and counselors complete an interview form and return it to the appropriate Principal promptly.

3) The Elementary Principal and the MS/HS Principal ensure the interview form is completed, signed by the Principals, and returned to the Registrar no later than the end of the interview workday. For students entering Grade 9–12, the MS/HS Principal determines the number of transferable credits and the appropriate placement level, and reports the GPA and credits to the Registrar.

4) When parents are given an interview appointment, the Registrar informs them of all required documents to bring to the interview. On the interview day, the Registrar examines the documents and refers them to the appropriate Principal for follow‑up, with particular attention to behavior problems.

5) The registration process is ongoing once started and the deposit must be paid on the day of registration. Pre-registration and the fee deposit occur in February for the next school year. The Registrar completes all sections of the registration form, and parents review and sign the information before final submission.

6) Admission and placement decisions follow: Registration personnel review the applicant's transcripts and past three years' records to determine placement eligibility. The Principal reviews the file and approves eligibility for testing. Students applying for Grades 1–12 are tested by the school counselor; KG1 and KG2 are tested by KG staff. Prospective students must pass the entrance exam with a 70% pass grade and achieve grade‑level scores to be considered for placement. For High School applicants (Grade 10 and above), admission may be on a credit‑transfer basis and will not be included in the four‑year GPA calculation; they will receive a total GPA for the years completed at ATIS. Parents should inform the registrar if the student has any special educational needs, and independent evaluation information may be requested prior to eligibility decisions. All students joining ATIS must bring a Code of Conduct form completed by the previous school before final admission is made. Based on test results, the school reserves the right to offer options such as acceptance, denial of admission, or acceptance to a lower level.

7) Waiting lists and priority: Priority for admission is given to current re‑enrolling students. Students requesting admission after the closing date are placed on a waiting list on a first‑come‑first‑served basis. Once classes are full, prospective applicants are placed on a waiting list, which does not guarantee placement.

Waitlist

Waiting list policy: current re‑enrolling students have admission priority. If general registration closes, other applicants are placed on a waiting list on a first‑come‑first‑served basis. Being on the waitlist does not guarantee placement; placement is not guaranteed once classes are full.
