Admissions

Admissions

1. The school is open to all who have, or wish to have, a world-wide perspective on life. We welcome all nationalities and cultures. In the early years children are admitted on the basis of a brief discussion, while older children must demonstrate academic aptitude and evidence of good behavior. Parents are a vital part of the admission procedure. 2. Registration requires a filled form with one passport-size photograph attached. The form and other required documents should be submitted to the school at the time of observation, written test, or interview. Candidates should ensure all documents are complete before this step proceeds. Registration is a prerequisite for admission. 3. Admission to classes beyond LKG and UKG requires a Transfer Certificate from the last attended school if the student has not previously attended a recognized school. The Transfer Certificate must be in original form. Without the transfer certificate, admission cannot be granted. This ensures the student's prior schooling is properly documented. 4. Admission requires a written performance test and interview. No candidate is admitted without these. For LKG/UKG, admission is granted on the basis of observation and interview with both parents. For all other classes (Class 1 onwards), a formal written test is conducted in English, Mathematics and Science. 5. Age Criteria: The basis of admission applies to LKG and UKG. The age is based on the birth certificate issued by the registrar of births or municipal authority. Minimum age on 15th March is 3 years for LKG and 4 years for UKG. 6. Admission Formalities: Admission to Class XI is based on outstanding performance in Class X board examinations, together with a written entrance test and interview conducted in January or April. Registration forms are issued for those admission cycles. The following documents are required: four passport-size photographs; copies of the student and parents' passports and Civil IDs; original Birth Certificate; Migration Certificate for XI/XII and CBSE Registration Card for X; Medical Certificate; and Transfer Certificate in original. No admission is complete until all documents are submitted and verified. Name and birth date must match the birth certificate or transfer certificate. For Class IX and X, evidence of passing Class VIII in the third language and some craft work may be required. Uniform, books and stationery must be purchased from the school bookshop. The Management reserves the right to amend rules.
