The school is part of the AEFE network of accredited French schools and is recognized by both Latvian and French governments. Governance is via a School Board. There are statutes for the Association APECEF and for the Lycée Français Jules Verne de Riga.
Located in Riga, Lycée Français International Jules Verne de Riga delivers the French national education system within the AEFE network since 2011. It serves ages 2 to 17 across two sites, with a daycare service. It operates in a multilingual environment with six languages taught and supports non-French-speaking pupils through FLE and FLSCO to reach fluency by the end of primary. The curriculum follows cycles from pre-elementary through high school, leading to the Diplôme National du Brevet and the Baccalauréat (Seconde, Première, Terminale) with core subjects and chosen specialties in Première and Terminale; it also offers the Diplôme National du Brevet, DELF and Cambridge exams. Established in 2007 by the French Embassy, it is managed by APECEF and monitored annually by AEFE inspectors. Facilities include two sites and a daycare service; sports facilities with team sports; swimming via Elektrum Olympic Centre (currently suspended). Extracurriculars cover sports, arts, robotics, languages, and theatre. The choir participates in Latvia's Song and Dance Celebrations, reflecting the school's intercultural education and emphasis on 21st-century skills.
