Ogre Technical School is a state-founded vocational institution in Latvia under the Ministry of Education and Science. It delivers professional secondary education that enables graduates to enter the labor market directly after completion. Programs span Forestry and Forest Works and Technology; Mechanical Engineering; Wood Product Manufacturing and Construction; Computer Science and Electronics; Administrative Work; Hotel and Restaurant Services; and Design and Art. Adult education is offered. In January 2020, the school became an officially accredited IB World School with the right to implement the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP). It is the Baltic States' only professional education institution implementing the IBCP. The school operates from Skolas iela 5, Rankā, after relocating program sites in 2019, and oversees an Adult Education Center and an International Relations Department coordinating European projects. Facilities include a renovated teaching block with electronics labs, drawing and painting studios, a photography and video workshop, and teaching kitchens.
