Lower School division includes two cycles of six academic years, from Grade 1 to Grade 6 (ages 6 to 11). The curriculum is aligned with Ahliah Standards, which are largely adopted from Common Core International Standards. Language Arts comprises English, Arabic, and French; English is the language of instruction for English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Art, and Physical Education, while Arabic teaching uses Classical Arabic. The program emphasizes active learning, critical thinking, problem solving, project-based learning, and guided inquiry in a student-centered approach.
The curriculum includes music, art, and physical education, with opportunities for the appreciation of fine arts. Students engage in activities that support creativity and aesthetic development as part of their learning experiences.
Language Arts include English, Arabic, and French. English is used for instruction in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, and Physical Education, and Arabic is taught using Classical Arabic. Global Citizenship education emphasizes appreciating diversity and multiple perspectives and developing the ability to communicate in more than one language, while engaging with local, regional, and global issues and recognizing human rights, social justice, and equity.
The school organizes educational field trips throughout the year to connect learning with real life experiences. It also conducts school events during the academic year, and maintains regular parent-teacher engagement through scheduled Parent Meetings.
The school provides a full-time nurse and a health care program. A healthy eating policy is promoted, with optional hot lunch service and guidance to bring nutritious meals and snacks; junk food is discouraged. Drinking water is provided and regularly tested. Transportation is not provided by the school; parents arrange transportation by car or private bus, and must inform the school of any changes. Preschool and lower school hours and routines include structured start times, with preschool daily hours typically 7:20–2:00 (early start on some days) and a 2:00 pm dismissal, while the preschool has specific procedures for tardiness, attendance, and pickups.
