The Grand Lycée Franco-Libanais is a Mission laïque française conventioned establishment. It serves 2,780 students from preschool through terminale. It follows the French national education framework through the MLF OSUI, with a language policy built on two cultures and three languages. Project-based learning is central, with initiatives such as Défi Coding MLF Liban and Le Liban en 2040: Tous égaux, and the school reports a 99.4% success rate on official exams.

Arts and Creative

Music and advertising are part of the curriculum; third-year students create music advertisements. The lycée hosts an Arts Plastiques option, and a lycée-level Arts Plastiques blog exists. Centres de Connaissances et de Culture provide spaces for culture and reading with tri-lingual resources. The CCC libraries offer tri-lingual materials in French, Arabic, and English and promote open cultural learning through reading activities.

Cultural and Language

Two cultures, three languages is the school's guiding motto. A language policy supports multilingualism from early years onward. The most common language combination in the ML F/OSUI network in Lebanon is French and Arabic with English taught as a third language. English is offered as part of language combinations across courses, including examples of English usage in various sequences.

Social and Hobbies

The GLFL organizes the Cross du GLFL, a sport and physical activity event that emphasizes endurance, cohesion, and responsibility. The school has 12+ sports grounds and a swimming pool. Students engage in fundraising and community-oriented activities as part of school life. Centres de Connaissances et de Culture (CCC) also promote cultural experiences and reading, enriching student life.

Community and Service

GLFL conducts solidarity and community service activities through student-led initiatives. Solidarity Beyrouth featured a campaign distributing 5,000 kits scolaires to public schools. School projects and clubs often focus on social responsibility and public outreach. The CCC centers also support cultural openness and reading as community-centred activities.

Leadership and Professional

The Orientation Service (SIO) is available from middle school onward to help students think through their success pathways. It provides information on education systems, trainings, and professions and supports formulating a training project. Students meet with a Guidance Counselor or a Information and Orientation Resource (PRIO) and may have personalized interviews; the service also offers resources and orientation events.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

The GLFL campus supports wellbeing through extensive physical facilities, including 12+ sports grounds and a swimming pool. The school offers varied after-school activities across ages, as outlined in the activities charter. The school's engagement in physical education and arts fosters student wellbeing and balance.
