The school uses a self-directed learning system in the secondary years, combining classroom lessons, seminars and independent work. Students take responsibility for their own learning, set goals, plan activities and reflect on progress with the support of personal mentors. The approach develops the competence to learn, critical thinking and collaboration in a bilingual environment.
The school has teachers who sing, play and dance, inspiring students through creative engagement. This fosters an environment where artistic expression and creativity are encouraged.
The school is bilingual, with English used alongside Lithuanian as languages of instruction; English is used in daily life and extra-curricular activities. From grade 5 onwards, students may choose a second foreign language (French, Spanish or German) and learn through interactive activities, dialogues and virtual journeys. Choosing a second foreign language gives students exposure to new cultures and broadens their horizons.
English becomes a natural means of communication in daily routines and extra-curricular activities, including Morning Circles, Knowledge Circles, Learning Labs and Firms. The school also hosts debates in English among secondary school students to develop critical thinking and public speaking.
Community life includes Community Day and the end-of-year Fair of Nations and Cultures. Knowledge Club offers opportunities to explore topics beyond the curriculum and learn about ourselves and the world. The school places emphasis on civic and community awareness and mutual support.
Self-directed learning is supported by personal mentors who monitor progress. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning, set goals, plan activities and reflect on their progress, developing independence and collaboration skills.
The school participates in the Zippy's Friends program to promote child mental health and well-being. At the end of the school year, the school organizes an aikido or sports camp. Outdoor activities and excursions are an integral part of student life.
