Fees
Application fees
- There is no application or enrolment fee charged for admission to Vilnius Žemynos Gymnasium (municipal/state general education school).

Tuition fees by year group (per term / per year)
- There is no tuition charge for instruction in Vilnius Žemynos Gymnasium for any year group covered by state/municipal general education (pre‑primary, primary, basic and secondary levels). Instruction at state and municipal general education schools is provided free of charge. (Therefore no per‑term or per‑year tuition applies.)

Billing schedule and payment terms (paid services only)
- The gymnasium does not bill tuition; billing applies only to paid, optional services (for example: meals where the pupil is not eligible for free meals, non‑formal / extracurricular activities, educational trips, paid after‑school provision when offered).
- Meal fees and other municipal service fees are normally charged per attended day or per service period as defined by Vilnius City payment rules; payment records and receipts are issued through the Vilnius municipal education payment system. Parents typically receive and pay monthly payment notices (payment deadlines commonly follow the municipal payment schedule; many Vilnius institutions require payments for the previous month to be settled by a stated monthly deadline).

Boarding fees
- Boarding is not offered by Vilnius Žemynos Gymnasium; there are no boarding or internat fees for this school (the school operates as a day school).

Other costs and fees (typical items parents should expect)
- School meals: where a pupil is not eligible for municipal free meal provisions, a daily meal fee applies (charged per attended day).
- Extracurricular / non‑formal activities: some after‑school clubs, non‑formal courses and external providers may carry fees (these are billed separately and follow the payment and receipt procedures set by Vilnius municipal rules).
- Educational trips and excursions: costs for school trips, camps or out‑of‑school educational activities are usually charged to parents for those activities that are optional or extra to the state curriculum.
- Learning materials and personal supplies: parents are expected to provide personal learning supplies (exercise books, pens, calculators, sports clothing, etc.); such items are not billed as tuition but are a routine family expense. The school's internal rules specify that pupils must have individual learning materials.
- Uniform / dress code: there is no mandatory everyday school uniform; a dress code applies and the school requires wearing the gymnasium uniform for official ceremonies — parents should expect to provide appropriate clothing for regular lessons and a uniform for events if required.

Refunds, reductions and social support
- Meal and service fee adjustments: municipal rules provide for fee reductions or adjustments in specific circumstances (for example, reductions for days a child does not attend and provisions for social support or free meals for eligible children). Refunds or reductions are handled according to Vilnius City procedures for charges for pupil meals and other paid services.

Fee payment options
- Payments for municipal school services (meals, non‑formal activities, etc.) are processed via the Vilnius municipal education payment system (svietimas.vilnius.lt), which supports electronic payment workflows and issues electronic receipts. Parents commonly pay via internet banking / bank transfer through that system; guidance and electronic payment instructions for specific payments are provided through the municipal payment interface. Some schools/contractors may offer additional electronic payment methods for specific paid services.

Practical summary for parents
- No application fee; no tuition per term or year for any grade at the gymnasium.
- Expect to pay only for optional/paid items: meals (if not eligible for free provision), extracurricular activities, trips, and personal learning materials. These paid items are billed and collected through the Vilnius municipal payment procedures and schedules.

The school identifies gifted and talented students using monitoring, analysis of results, individual conversations with students and parents, and exploring their interests, with education personalized to each student's needs.
Wellbeing

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school runs a Students' Well-Being Program to support social and emotional well-being. It develops social and emotional intelligence with input from a school psychologist and other specialists. Lions Quest ‘Raktai į sėkmę' is used to teach stress management, empathy, and responsible behavior. The program helps new students adapt to the school community so they feel safe and included. Activities and student councils are used to monitor and improve the school climate and to foster student involvement. The school promotes a respectful, inclusive, and supportive community.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The school provides support for students with special education needs (SUP). For SUP students, teachers working with them receive confidential information about individual conditions and appropriate accommodations. Individualized learning plans and tasks are prepared to meet each student's needs. The school supports new SUP students to help them adapt and access appropriate support. Collaboration among teachers, homeroom tutors, and support staff is emphasized to ensure SUP students receive needed assistance, with psychologists involved where appropriate.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

English is taught as a core language with a dedicated Anglų k. metodinė grupė (English department) led by J. Liubkevič-Bedulskaja. The school uses CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) in integrated lessons with subjects such as biology and chemistry to strengthen language proficiency. The English group supports language development through teacher collaboration and professional development. The school organizes language-related activities and events, including opportunities to participate in language festivals and Erasmus projects that broaden students' linguistic and cultural experiences. These structures ensure ongoing English language instruction and practical language use across the curriculum.

Mental Wellbeing

The school runs the Students' Well-Being Program to support mental wellbeing. It focuses on developing social and emotional intelligence, with involvement from a school psychologist and other specialists. The Lions Quest prevention program ‘Raktai į sėkmę' is used to teach stress management, empathy, and prosocial behavior. The program includes activities to help new students adapt and feel secure, and to build a positive school climate. Teachers receive training and students participate in activities designed to foster cooperation, respect, and resilience. The school aims to cultivate a caring, inclusive community where students can thrive emotionally and socially.

The school maintains a Human Safety General Programs to safeguard students across contexts. It covers psychological readiness for threats and hazards and the safe psychosocial environment, including understanding group pressure and how to resist unsafe behavior. It teaches safe behavior at home and outdoors, in nature, and around animals, with guidance on first aid, hazards, and responsible conduct. It covers safe conduct in traffic and procedures for emergencies, including when to call the emergency number 112 and how to respond to sirens. The programs also address recognizing and handling dangerous situations, including arousing suspicion and protecting health and safety, with the involvement of teachers, school psychologists, and safety staff.
