Fees

Application fees
- There is no one-off application or tuition-registration fee charged by Lënster Lycée International School for enrolment into its Kindergarten, Primary or Secondary cycles; registration is a standard administrative enrolment (documents are submitted to the student secretariat).

Tuition fees (by year group / term)
- Kindergarten (ages 4–6): No tuition charged to families; attendance in the state-operated Kindergarten cycle is provided through the Luxembourg public school system.
- Primary (P1–P5): No tuition charged per term or per year; families are not billed tuition for the Primary cycle.
- Secondary (S1–S7): No tuition charged per term or per year; families are not billed tuition for the Secondary cycle.

Mandatory and optional service charges (examples and concrete rates)
- School meals / restaurant and cafeteria (optional service): student pricing is set and administered centrally by the national school catering service (Restopolis). Sample prices (applicable under the 2025/26 pricing list and to sites from 01.01.2026) are shown below as concrete examples of what families pay when using the canteen or cafeteria at public secondary schools:
- Restaurant formula 1 (starter + main + dessert): learners €4.70.
- Restaurant formula 2 (starter + main or main + dessert): learners €4.20.
- Restaurant formula 3 (main or takeaway menu): learners €3.70.
- Individual cafeteria/snack items for learners: many items range from about €1.10 to €4.20 depending on the item; packaged and reusable container options are also priced in the published list.
- These canteen and cafeteria charges are payable using the national Restopolis myCard / account system described below.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- Tuition: there is no school tuition billing schedule because the school is part of the Luxembourg state school system and does not charge tuition to families.
- Canteen / cafeteria payments: payment is handled through a Restopolis account associated with a contactless myCard (pupil/employee card). Accounts are recharged by parents or learners and debits occur at point of sale when a meal or item is taken. Recharges can be made on-site in cash, online (credit card: Visa, Mastercard, American Express) or via Payconiq and by mobile app. Refund and account-handling rules are set by Restopolis (see refund conditions below).
- School-secretariat invoicing: when the school offers optional paid activities, trips or materials, those specific services are handled and invoiced separately by the school administration or by the external provider; payment timing for those items follows the invoice terms issued by the school or provider (parents deal directly with the school secretariat for payments).

Boarding fees (if applicable)
- On-site boarding at Lënster Lycée International School is not operated as an internal boarding service by the school itself. Boarding for pupils attending LLIS is available through external public internats that accept pupils from LLIS (for example the Institution Saint‑Willibrord / Internat Iechternach).
- Indicative boarding cost at an external internat: a commonly cited annual boarding rate used in official documents is approximately €3,820 per year for full weekly boarding (Sunday evening to Friday), as an example of the type of charge families should expect when using an external internat service. Actual internat fees, contract terms and any means‑tested adjustments are set by the internat operator and/or the Ministry and will vary.

Other costs or fees
- Extracurricular supervision and after‑school activities: LLIS runs supervised after‑school activities that run from after school until about 18:30; participation in specific activities, trips, workshops or clubs may carry additional charges that are billed separately.
- School materials, textbooks and exam fees: families should expect occasional charges for optional materials, specific course materials, private exam registrations or field trips; these are invoiced per item or event when applicable. (Exact sums for these items are set case‑by‑case and are not charged as school tuition.)
- Swimming-pool and sports facility public access: the school's pool is used for school activities but the facility also has public entry tariffs for non‑school users; separate fees apply where public access or municipal services are used.

Refund information
- Canteen account refunds: an outstanding Restopolis account balance can be refunded on request under defined conditions (for example when the pupil permanently leaves the Luxembourg school system and holds the required IAM identifier and exit paperwork). Other balances may be transferable between Restopolis accounts subject to Restopolis rules. Refund and reimbursement procedures and eligibility are set by Restopolis and administered via the school administration.
- Tuition and application fees: because LLIS does not charge tuition or a one‑off application fee, there is no tuition‑refund schedule to apply. Any refunds for optional paid services (for example external internat boarding or third‑party activity fees) follow the terms of the specific provider or invoice.

Fee payment options
- For school catering (Restopolis): online top‑up by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Payconiq, mobile app top‑up and in‑canteen cash top‑up are available; payments are drawn from the Restopolis account at the point of sale using the myCard.
- For school invoices for optional services and activities: payment methods and terms are specified on the invoice issued by the school or external provider; parents should follow the payment instructions shown on those invoices (the school secretariat handles enrolment and administrative billing).

If you are preparing a database entry, record the following concrete points as separate fields:
- Tuition: €0 per term / per year for all cycles (Kindergarten, Primary P1–P5, Secondary S1–S7).
- Application fee: none.
- Canteen: sample learner prices — Formula 1 €4.70; Formula 2 €4.20; Formula 3 €3.70; individual cafeteria items vary (Restopolis price list). Payment via myCard / Restopolis account (credit card, Payconiq, cash on‑site). Refunds of account balance possible under Restopolis conditions.
- School transport: free.
- Boarding: not provided on‑site by LLIS; external internat options exist (example annual boarding fee ~€3,820).
