Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

The Lënster Lycée was founded by the law of 22 July 2008 and inaugurated on 17 November 2014. It originally planned to teach classical and general education classes. It now also welcomes pupils from vocational training and students who wish to follow the European School curriculum or European classes. The new logo and the name Lënster Lycée International School have been used since 30 November 2020, recognizing the link between all actors of the school community and demonstrating a commitment to modernising and harmonising the teaching environment in a spirit of coherence and cooperation. The LLIS has obtained the official label of European Parliament Ambassador School and participates in the EPAS programme, with a range of activities and projects organized throughout the school year.

Community

Lënster Lycée International School operates in a bilingual FR/EN environment and fosters an active school community. The Daily Life section includes News, Events, Sports, Activities, Projects and more, reflecting a dynamic campus. The school hosts Open Day events annually, with Open Day 2026 and an Open Day Review published, and releases a bilingual school newsletter each year (for example the 2025/26 edition is online).
