The school offers a broad program of after‑school activities and directed study to help students develop personal, social and academic skills. The BEST program provides 2–3 BEST lessons per week (depending on the class) to allow homework completion under supervision, targeted help from subject teachers, or additional support. Tutorial and orientation lessons are provided in the lower classes to support learning, and the timetable for lower classes includes 34 regular lessons per week. Extracurricular activities cover culture, technology, sports, sciences, art and music to foster engagement and a positive school climate. The school emphasises student well‑being and social development through these structured opportunities.
Different forms and levels of educational support are provided for pupils with special educational needs or difficulties to help them develop, progress and be successfully integrated.
European secondary education at LLIS is offered in three language sections: English-speaking, German-speaking and French-speaking. SWALS (students with a mother tongue other than the school's official languages) may be enrolled in English, French or German sections, with L2 languages including German, French and English. From S1, L2 languages can include German, French and English; from S4, Spanish and Italian; and from S6, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
A Guidance unit supports student welfare and wellbeing, with staff available to assist students as part of the school's support structure. After‑school activities and directed study sessions provide supervised space for learning, reflection and personal development, with established channels for students to seek help as needed.
LLënster Lycée International School (LLIS) is a day international school in Junglinster, Luxembourg, for ages 4 to 18. It offers primary education (EPE) and vocational training (FP) under the European School framework, culminating in the European Baccalaureate. Since 2023–2024, LLIS runs three language sections for S1–S7: German-speaking, English-speaking and French-speaking, with L1 languages German, English and French and SWALS support for pupils with another EU official language. L2 languages are German, French and English; L3 languages (S1+) include Spanish and Italian; L4 languages (S4+) include Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Luxembourgish; L5 languages (S6+) include Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. Lower classes have 34 weekly lessons with BEST tutoring and orientation; upper classes follow standard timetables. The campus includes multiple facilities, such as a pool, an indoor hall, a library and a canteen. LLIS is an EPAS European Parliament Ambassador School and hosts a TEDEd Club. It also supports a broad extracurricular program.
