Arrange a school tour or trial class. Before starting the formal application process, it is recommended that you contact the school to arrange a visit. This will give you the opportunity to meet the admissions staff, see the teachers and students, and view the school's facilities. A free trial class can also be arranged, which includes a complimentary lunch for your child.
Complete and submit the application. You can complete the admission form online or in person at the school. Along with the form, you will need to submit several documents, including copies of your child's and your own identification (passport or MyKad/MyKid), passport-sized photos, previous school transcripts, and any relevant medical records. There is also an application fee that can be paid by cheque, cash, or credit card.
Your child will take an assessment test. Once the school has received your application and documents, they will contact you to schedule an assessment test for your child. This test covers English and Maths and helps the school determine the appropriate year level placement. The school places students based on their ability, not just their age.
Receive a letter of offer. If your child's application is successful, you will receive a letter of offer and an invoice. To confirm your acceptance, you will need to pay the registration fees and sign the Parent Agreement. For international students, the school will begin the student visa application process once all payments and deposits have been received.
