Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

OIS was founded in 2018 as part of the Oasis International Schools network, a non-profit organization committed to establishing American-style, English-speaking international schools worldwide. The school opened its doors in August 2018, welcoming students from Kindergarten through 11th grade.

Community

OIS fosters a vibrant and inclusive community where students from diverse backgrounds come together to learn and grow. The school organizes various events throughout the year to celebrate this diversity and build strong connections among students, parents, and staff. One notable event is the annual International Celebration, which features cultural performances, international cuisine, and activities that highlight the global heritage of the OIS community.

Parent-Teacher Association

The Parents For Oasis (PFO) serves as the Parent Teacher Association at OIS. PFO is dedicated to engaging parents in creating an integrated community and supporting the school's mission. They organize a variety of events and activities, including international food celebrations, bake sales, staff appreciation weeks, and social clubs such as Dad’s Club, yoga, cooking, and more. The PFO also provides a dedicated space on campus known as the PFO Embassy, where parents can gather, enjoy lunches and coffees, and participate in community-building initiatives.
