Chiswick House School and St Martin's College (CHS & SMC) are Malta's independent, co-educational group serving pupils aged 3–18 across Kappara and Swatar. CHS and SMC offer a Bespoke Curriculum with Pearson Edexcel IGCSE and an International Programme including English (EL2/3), French (FL2/3), Spanish (SL2/3), Italian (IL1), and Maltese. By Level 6, languages are taught: French, Italian, German, Spanish and Mandarin. An Inclusion and Well‑Being framework provides an Inclusion Coordinator, SEN specialists, a Well‑Being Team and a counsellor; Maths Mastery uses Singapore maths with Maths No Problem!. Ethics Education sits alongside Religious Education; Connected Learning Projects and Project‑Based Learning enrich Middle School. Sixth Form routes include MATSEC or Malta Matriculation, UCAS for UK universities, and international Pathway options. A signature feature is the School of Performing Arts (SOPA) for ages 3–18. Libraries include over 7,000 and 22,000 resources, theatres, drama and music rooms, science labs and a broad sports complex.

Chiswick House School & St Martin's College operate across five levels: Early Years, Junior Years, Middle School, Senior School and Sixth Form. Pass rates in Sixth Form are consistently above the national average, with 100% passes in most subjects. Most students follow the Malta Matriculation Certificate (MMC) or MATSEC routes, enabling entry to the University of Malta and other international universities; UCAS registration for UK universities is available. A careers advisory service supports university applications.
Most Sixth Form students progress to higher education via MATSEC (to the University of Malta or abroad) or MMC; UCAS is used for UK university applications; the Sixth Form offers pathways such as Pathway/Base Year and Pre-Pathway for international students to prepare for higher education.
Higher Achievers programme is available in Junior Years and Middle School and is accredited by the National Association for More Able Children in Education; focus groups and an Alternative Learning Programme support advanced learners.
The school has a Well-Being Team that identifies students in need and develops personalised plans in collaboration with parents. A school counsellor supports students and teachers, and the Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) programme is active.
The Inclusion Coordinator works with SEN specialists to recognise needs, adapt the environment, and coordinate services. Ongoing staff training supports inclusive education. Identification methods include referrals by teachers, standardised in-house assessments, Cognitive Ability Testing, NFER Nelson assessments, and yearly reading and spelling screenings from Early Years 4/Level 2.
The International Programme offers English for non-English speakers (EL2/3) and languages such as French (FL2/3) and Spanish (SL2/3) for non-native speakers, plus native-language options. English as a Foreign Language (EFL) courses are offered at all levels from Level 1 to Level 11; students can sit the TOEFL Junior on St Martin's College premises.
A school counsellor is available to support students and teachers, and the Well-Being Team actively participates in the SEL programme to promote mental wellbeing.
Collaboration with parents is encouraged to support each child's development, and parents may be referred for external assessments or services as needed; the Well-Being Team works to safeguard and support students' welfare.
Admissions begin with an introductory meeting between the Registrar or a member of the Admissions Team, the parents and the child. For prospective students over the age of 2, assessments vary by level: Early Years 1–2 receive a general assessment; Levels 3–5 sit Mathematics and English assessments (and Maltese for Maltese citizens); Levels 6–11 undergo a comprehensive assessment including a Cognitive Ability Test, an interview, and written assessments in Mathematics, English and Maltese (for Maltese citizens), with additional subjects possible if required. The Admissions Team notifies parents of the decision, which is final. Documentation required includes the child's current school report (with wellbeing and information on communication skills), the Early Years Questionnaire for EY 1–2, any relevant psychological reports, the birth certificate (original or authenticated copy with translations if needed), the child's passport/ID, the parents' passports/IDs, a vaccination card for non-Maltese students, and a passport-size photo.
