English is the language of instruction. The Intensive English program serves students 6 years old and up and is designed to accelerate English language development in speaking, listening, reading and writing to enable successful participation in mainstream classes, with small classes, individualized plans, pull-out sessions, and collaboration with subject-area teachers. Foreign language offerings include French I/II/III, Spanish I/II/III and Italian I/II/III, with AP French, AP Spanish and AP Italian available.
QSI International School of Malta offers a bespoke curriculum for learners aged 2 to 18, spanning preschool through secondary programs. The school employs a mastery-learning model in which students earn credit only after demonstrating mastery; time is a resource. Exit outcomes are organized into Knowledge, Competencies, and Success Orientations. Knowledge covers Mathematics, English/Literature, Cultural Studies, Science, Creative and Applied Arts, Languages Other Than English, and Personal Health and World Environmental Issues. Competencies include Numeracy and Mathematical Skills, Verbal and Written Communication, Thinking and Problem Solving, Decision-Making and Judgment, Commercial Skills, Psychomotor Skills, and Fine Arts Skills. Success Orientations emphasize Responsibility, Trustworthiness, Group Interaction, Aesthetic Appreciation, Kindness, Independent Endeavor, and Concern for Others. The AP Program offers onsite and online courses, including AP European History, Biology, Calculus, and Psychology, plus AP Capstone. Facilities include indoor classrooms, a 6,000-volume library, a Makerspace, gym and sports fields, and a Green Flag sustainability focus.
