Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Grace and Courtesy and Emotional Intelligence are integrated into daily classes to support social skills. Nurturing emotional intelligence helps students develop empathy, respect, and kindness. A safe environment is provided where children can express and manage their emotions constructively. These life skills support emotional well-being alongside academics.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Language development is a cornerstone of the curriculum. English and French are taught as core subjects. The approach is immersive, with conversations, storytelling, and reading encouraged from an early age. Pronunciation, enunciation, and punctuation are emphasised to build proficiency in both languages.

Mental Wellbeing

Emotional wellbeing is supported through the integration of emotional intelligence and social skills in daily learning. Drama, music, and other expressive activities provide outlets for confidence and resilience. A safe environment further supports student well-being.

Safeguarding

A safe environment is maintained to support students' safeguarding and overall well-being.

Facilities include a science laboratory, a lecture theatre, an ICT laboratory, a library, and art spaces, with drama and music woven into the timetable. The school runs 8:30 am–2:30 pm (January to November), with parent/teacher conferences. Weekend swimming coaching is offered at Blue Bay, and the canteen provides balanced meals shared with families. Judy Montessori opened in January 2023, emphasizing collaboration between educators and families.
