Morning Star School was established in 2003 with a vision to offer an education with an international standard of English to Mauritian and expatriate students. The objective is to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment in which students can excel academically and fulfil their personal potential. The school seeks to impart enduring Christian values in an atmosphere of discipline and mutual respect. Pastoral guidance promotes individual attention and sensitivity to each student's needs and supports personal development and academic progress.
Arts, crafts, music and drama are part of the school's daily activities, with emphasis on exploring and expressing students' potential. Events such as class outings, sponsored walks, fun days and annual concerts are regular parts of school life. Sport is offered including Athletics, Swimming, Football, Touch Rugby, Handball, Ballet, Taekwondo and Badminton.
Morning Star School is a private school in Mauritius for ages 3 to 18, offering a bespoke curriculum within Cambridge (Secondary) framework. The ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) curriculum is used, with students registered with the International Certificate of Christian Education (ICCE). Core subjects include English, Maths, Literature, Science (Biology, Physical Science), Social Studies, Word Building and Etymology, IT, Biblical Survey and French; electives cover General, Intermediate or Advanced High School Certificates such as Business, Economics, Health, Physics, Art, Music and Auto Mechanics. Students learn at an individual pace in learning centres of up to 18, with a teacher–learner ratio of 1:9. Morning Star has primary and secondary divisions on a single campus, including Jungle Gym, field, covered outdoor spaces and landscaped courtyards. Since 2014 school reports a 100% pass rate in SC exams, and leavers pursue tertiary studies in Mauritius or abroad. Extracurriculars include arts, crafts, music, drama, and sports opportunities.
